Bone Energy Services Launches PA Energy Code Website:

Bone Energy Services announced today that it launched PAEnergyCode.com, a website offering detailed information to building professionals about recently adopted changes to the Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code (UCC).

The website is focused on the energy-related provisions that apply to residential construction in PA.

Dave Bone Selected for BPI Building Analyst Committee

Dave Bone, the founder of Bone Energy Services, recieved notification today that he was selected by the Building Performance Institute to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on a committee convening to update the BPI Building Analyst Certification.

Responsibilities of the SMEs include:

  • Development of new Certification Schemes
  •  Job Task Analysis (JTA)
  •  Item writing (Develop test questions)
  •  Review psychometric data on questions and eliminate bad questions
  •  Review how the tests are being performed (written and field)
  • Determine if the certification is aligned with industry needs
  •  Agree to sign and abide by the BPI Code of Ethics and Conduct which includes a confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement

Dave Bone Selected for Energy Auditor Exam Commitee

Dave Bone, the founder of Bone Energy Services, recieved notification today that he was selected by the Interstate Renewable Energy Council to serve as a subject matter expert on a committee convening to revise and update the exams for the Home Energy Professional (HEP) Energy Auditor designation, which is supported by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and its National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL).

The committee will meet March 6-8, 2018 in Austin, TX and continue its work through the fall.

Bone Energy Services Launches Continuining Education Website:

Bone Energy Services announced today that it launched HowBuildingsWork.com, a website offering online continuing education to  Building Professionals.  The site will initially focus on providing approved BPI Continuing Education courses but plans are in place to quickly expand to designations by other organizations, such as NATE and NACHI.

Courses are offered in a video format, with supplemental information and quizzes to ensure participants understand the subject matter.  HowBuildingsWork.com automatically processed continuing education credits for users when they complete a course.

Dave Bone Selected for NREL Workshop Participation

April 15, 2013

Dave Bone, the founder of Bone Energy Services, recieved notification today that he was selected by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) to participate in the multifamily Job Task Analyses (JTAs) and Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) development workshops, for the Multifamily Project/Program Manager designation. The workshop will be held May-6-8, 2013 in Denver, Colorado.
